US President Special Assistant for South Asian Affairs Peter Lavoy calls on COAS General Raheel Sharif

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – As a follow up of yesterday’s meeting between Ambassador Susan Rice, US National Security Advisor and General Raheel Sharif, Special Assistant to President for South Asian Affairs Dr Peter Lavoy visited GHQ and called on COAS on Monday. He was accompanied by Richard G Olson, US Ambassador to Pakistan, and P Michael Mickinley, US Ambassador to Afghanistan. Matters of mutual interest related to peace process in Afghanistan were discussed. Meanwhile, Federal Foreign Minister Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier visited GHQ and called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including security situation in the region, were discussed.
