NEW YORK (92 News) - US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in New York on Sunday.
They discussed various issues including Afghan peace process.
Prime Minister Imran Khan asked US to resume dialogue with Taliban as Pakistan is ready to play its role for regional peace.
“It’s sad to hear that the dialogue process between US and Taliban was cancelled at the eleventh hour,” said PM Khan.
He was of the view that Pakistan had always taken stand that military intervention into not solution to the Afghan dispute.
Zalmay Khalilzad said Pakistan’s leadership is working with new vision. hE lauded PM Imran Khan for backing Afghan peace process.
