US Secretary of Defence telephones COAS Gen Bajwa

WASHINGTON (92 News) – US Secretary of Defence Mark Esper has contacted Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on telephone and discussed the ongoing security situation and bilateral issues, said the spokesperson of Pentagon. According to the press release of Pentagon, the matters related to security and bilateral issues were discussed during the telephonic conversation. During the conversation, Mark Esper expressed commitment to make strong relationship with Pakistan. He also hailed Pakistan’s role in Afghan peace process and vowed to continue close assistance to Pakistan.
