ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that America should resolve the issue politically before leaving Afghanistan.

In an interview aired by a foreign TV on Monday, he said that he was not the spokesperson of Taliban. "We will not give our bases to the United States for action in Afghanistan. We are peaceful and do not want any confrontation," he said.

He said that over 70,000 Pakistanis were martyred in the Afghan war. "Pakistan will be affected most in case of a civil war in Afghanistan," he added.

The prime minister categorically said that Pakistan's nuclear programme is only for country's defence. "It is hypocrisy not to discuss the Kashmir issue in Europe. Currently, nine million are living in an open jail in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir," he added.

He said that he had not talked to US President Joe Biden since the latter assumed the power. "I had not met the CIA chief when he visited Pakistan. We have been continuously been in contact with the secret agencies since 9/11," he said.
