US values its cooperation with Pakistan, says Ned Price

WASHINGTON (92 News) - US State Department spokesperson Ned Price has said that US values its cooperation with Pakistan.

Addressing a media briefing, Ned Price said that Pakistan has a democratically elected civilian government. “Cooperation with Pakistan in various fields is ongoing. US Deputy Secretary Wendy Sherman had a meeting with the Army Chief of Pakistan. Meetings are also held with high-level officials of Pakistan.”

Ned Price said that the USAID team has visited flood-affected areas. “The team visited the districts of Sindh and Balochistan last month. USAID will review assistance for flood victims based on the report. There is a mechanism for monitoring the amount given to the flood victims.”

US State Department spokesperson said that discussions with Pakistan on the future of the Afghan people and stability in Afghanistan are continue. The security situation and challenges in the region are constantly discussed with Pakistan.
