Vacuum is more dangerous than evacuation in Afghanistan: Fawad Chaudhary

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhary has said that vacuum is more dangerous than evacuation in Afghanistan.

Talking to the media, he said that the US president had said that they would continue the evacuation from Afghanistan, which would not be delayed.

"Currently the situation in Afghanistan is such that there is no authority there," he added.

He said that PM Imran Khan is of the view that the Afghans should not be left alone at this time. "Yesterday children lost their lives in the terrorist activities in Afghanistan. Our sympathies are with them," he maintained.

Fawad Chaudhary said that presently the situation in Afghanistan is not exerting pressure on Pakistan's borders. "A large number of people will be forced to migrate from Afghanistan is a stable government is not established there," he maintained.

He said that already 3.5 million Afghans are living in Pakistan. "We are not economically viable enough to accommodate more 1-2 million refugees," he added.

The minister said that they are trying best to take the Afghan issue towards stability. "This is a big challenge that a stable government capable of looking into its affairs should be established there," he added.
