Veterinary University’s former professor shot dead in Lahore

LAHORE (92 News) – A former professor of Animal and Veterinary Sciences University was shot dead by an unknown 20-year-old youth in Sabzazar police limits on Friday.

Professor Dr Ashfaq Ahmed was going to his home with his grandson and a friend when the attacker fired a shot at his head. He was shifted to hospital where he died.

The police said that the deceased belonged to a minority sect and the suspicion of target killing cannot be ruled out. 

The Sabzazar ASP said that they were investigating from all aspects.

He said that they had taken the body into their custody and shifted it to morgue for autopsy.
