Vinod Kambli, wife booked as domestic help alleges assault

NEW DELHI (92 News) – An FIR was registered against former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli and his wife Andrea Hewitt following a complaint filed by the couple's domestic help on Sunday. The Bandra Police filed the FIR against 43-year-old Kambli and Hewitt after their maid alleged that the couple was not paying proper wages to her and when she asked for it, they misbehaved with her. An FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) for wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation has been registered against Vinod Kambli and his wife. The FIR also includes sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).
