Violation of Quaid mausoleum sanctity case against Capt (retd) Safdar declared false

KARACHI (92 News) – The police have declared the case related to violation of the sanctity of the mausoleum of the Quaid-e-Azam as false.

The investigation officer presented the case challan in court. During the investigation, it has not been proved that Captain (retd) Safdar had hurled threats.

Moreover, the plaintiff Waqas had not come to the police station to record his statement and the presence of the plaintiff at the site could not be proved through the CCTV footage and CDR.

On October 19, Capt (retd) Safdar was arrested on the charge of violating the sanctity of the Quaid's mausoleum and hurled death threats to the complainant for being stopped from chanting slogans.

Hours after he was arrested from his hotel room in the metropolis, a local court had granted bail to Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar and ordered his release against surety bonds of Rs100,000.
