PML-N leader Capt (retd) Safdar released on bail

KARACHI (92 News) – Capt (retd) Safdar was released after being granted bail in a case regarding violation of the sanctity of the Mazar-e-Quaid on Monday.

On his release, PML-N workers showered rose petals on Cap (retd) Safdar and chanted slogans against the government.

Earlier, a local court had granted him bail and ordered to release him after furnishing surety bonds worth Rs 100,000. On his arrival in court, he was accorded a rousing welcome.

On Sunday, the police had registered a case against 200 people, including Capt (retd) Safdar, for chanting slogans against the Mazar-e-Quaid.

Sindh former governor Muhammad Zubair said that the case was registered after pressurizing the Sindh government. "We will bring the facts before the people soon. This drama was staged to held the Sindh government responsible for the case," he added.
