Violent mob kills citizen accused of desecration in Warburton

WARBURTON (92 News) - Violent people killed a citizen accused of desecration in Warburton on Saturday.

The mob also ransacked the police station for getting the custody of the accused. A heavy contingent of police reached the spot to control the law and order.

Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of the incident and ordered investigations into the matter. He said that no one can be allowed to influence the law.

On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also demanded a report from Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar who suspended the Warburton SHO and Nankana Sahib DSP.

Under instructions from Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a three-member team has been formed to investigate into the matter. Special Branch AIG Zulfiqar Hameed has been appointed as the convener. DIG Faisal Ali Raja and DIG Syed Muhammad Amin Bukhari will be the committee members.

The committee will submit a report to the caretaker CM within 48 hours.
