LAHORE (92 News) – Visually-impaired persons on Wednesday continued their protest calling for the government of Punjab to fulfill its promises of increase in differently-abled people’s employment quota and turning temporary employees to permanent job-holders on third day outside the Punjab Assembly.
As per reports, the blind persons tried to barge into the Punjab Assembly as well.
Earlier, the government had vowed to meet their demands however, the special people have started protest demonstrations again after a period of time as the government did not keep its word.
Traffic flow on the Mall has severely suffered in the last two days due to the protesters blocking traffic. There were also reports of the protesters stopping the Lahore metro bus service.
