Wajid’s letter cannot be presented as evidence in Avenfield case: Maryam

ISLAMABAD (92 News) Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Monday that the letter of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) head Wajid Zia that was submitted on July 3 cannot be presented as evidence in Avenfield case. During the hearing headed by Justice Mohammad Bashir, Maryam said that the letter was directly sent to the JIT which was unlawful. She said that the writer of letter was not appeared before the court and she was not allowed for cross-examination over the letter. She claimed that she was never beneficial owner of London flats as she has not gained any financial profit from them. Earlier, Maryam Nawaz said that her brother Hussain Nawaz owns London flats and Nelson and Nescol Company.
