Waseem Akhtar, others indicted in May 12 tragedy cases

KARACHI (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court indicted Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar and other accused in the May 12 tragedy cases on Saturday. The accused pleaded not guilty. The counsel for the accused contended that charges should not be framed as they had filed an application for the transfer of cases. The court rejected the plea of the accused. The accused had already been granted bail in two cases. Moreover, 20 more accused are absconding. The court staff had to work with a mobile torch due to loadhsedding.
