KARACHI (92 News) - Former cricketer Wasim Akram, king of Swing, uploaded a video on his Instagram, lamenting over the horrible condition of Karachi’s Sea View beach on Monday.

In the video, Wasim Akram showcased piles of garbage, plastic bags and medical waste including syringes lying around casually. After the nasty mess he witnessed on the beach during his morning walk, the cricketer decided to record this and showcase it to his followers.

"I imagined to enjoy the first day of the week but committed a big mistake to take my wife here at Sea View beach on Monday morning. No one is being blame for this horrible situation and pile of dirt here. We should blame ourselves for this deplorable condition. This is embarrassing for everyone," he shared his thoughts on the social media platform of Instagram through video.

"The world always acknowledged that Pakistani is beautiful country and people lining in country are also beautiful. But these beautiful people are also dirty. Now this is the time, when we all have to advise the people and divert their minds towards this concern on social media."

Wasim Akram further elaborated that this piles of garbage are not coming from sea. These all stuffs are same which through in the sea by the people. He motivated all the people to live clean and participated in this campaign though his video message on social media.

Shaniera Akram rues over littered state of Clifton beach

Shaniera Akram, the wife of former captain Wasim Akram, has also lamented over the horrible condition of Karachi’s Clifton Beach.

it is noteworthy that Shaniera, initiated a Clifton beach cleanup campaign. She previously declared the condition of the beach as hazardous and in a state of emergency. She too posted horrible pictures that showcased a similar situation to what can be seen in the video.

On a social media website Twitter, Shaniera Akram said, “I’m sick of this We clean the beach again & again, only to have the city’s garbage dumped in our sea & sewerage lines, which eventually washes up on our shore”.

“I’m not even going to the beach anymore. I’ve had enough. This is an embarrassment to our country. We should be ashamed,” she added.
