MULTAN (92 News) – A massive torrent of 300,000 cusecs water will be passing Multan on July 16, as the water level in River Chenab has started increasing The Guddu Barrage authorities have alerted the people of Kachay and cancelled Eid holidays of its staff. The maximum inflow of water at Head Marala is recorded 87,047 cusecs and outflow is recorded at 56,820 cusecs, while the incoming inflow of water at Head Khanki is recorded at 77,135 cusecs and outflow is recorded at 86,735 cusecs. The inflow of water in Qadirabd is 96,297 cusecs and outflow is at 77,297 cusecs, while the inflow at Head Taremon in Jhang is recorded at 103,520 cusecs and outflow is recorded at 87,470 cusecs. Sources said that the district administration have started preparation due to possibility of flood. The water at Guddu Barrage started increasing due to heavy rains in the country’s upper areas. The inflow of water is recorded at 213,938 cusecs and outflow is recorded at 192,000 cusecs. Sources said that massive torrent of 100,000 cusecs will enter Guddu Barrage in the next two days.
