We are lagging behind for lack of rule of law in country: PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that they are lagging behind due to lack of rule of law in the country.

Addressing a ceremony after the groundbreaking of Islamabad District Courts on Tuesday, he said that the past leaders did not bother about the provision of justice to the people.

"The powerful always want to remain above the law. They all are seeking the NRO and a separate law for them otherwise they will not let the government work. In a civilized society, the powerful is also brought under the law," he maintained.

The prime minister said that overseas Pakistanis are a big assets of the country. "Prosperity is impossible without dominance of the law. We should always strive for the rule of law," he added.

PM Imran Khan said that the government is trying to save the green areas of Islamabad.
