'We are waging jihad but Mafia spreading propaganda against us', says PM
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has termed that the second phase of the opposition movement will also fail, saying, "We are waging jihad but the mafia is spreading propaganda against us."
The premier said during a meeting of party leaders and spokespersons chaired by him. He also said that the opposition had sought NRO in the form of amendments in NAB law.
Terming the opposition’s proposals regarding amendments in the NAB laws as NRO, Imran Khan said that they wanted that anyone convicted in corruption cases should not be disqualified from holding public or party offices.
The prime minister directed the party leaders and spokespersons to bring forward the proposed amendments to the NAB Act by the opposition. He also instructed them to expose Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman at every platform. "No one is above the law," he added.
PM Khan maintained that the double standard of the opposition came to the fore in the Senate elections. "We want to make the Senate election transparent."
On this occasion, SAPM Shahzad Akbar briefed about the opposition’s proposals regarding amendments in the NAB Act. Opposition demands removal of disqualification for corruption.
