We can't stop accountability process in country: Shah Mahmood Qureshi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that Pakistan alone can do nothing for peace in Afghanistan. Talking to the media after the Turkey tour on Saturday, he said that all countries of the region will have to play their role for peace. The minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Turkey was brief, but comprehensive. “Both countries agreed on promoting economic relations. Opportunities of investment and business will be searched. A meeting with regard to strategic partnership will be held in Islamabad,” he disclosed. He said that law and order had improved in Pakistan. “The Pak Army has played a key role in restoring peace. The minister said that the thought of US leadership had changed and now America is holding dialogues with Taliban. “We cannot stop the process of accountability in the country,” he maintained. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India should not play the negative role. “Afghanistan is an international issue. The role of Qatar cannot be ruled out,” he said. He said that millions of Sikhs across the world lauded opening of the Kartarpur corridor by Pakistan. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they could not stop the process of accountability in the country. He said that the government had not refused investigations into the elections 2018.
