ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that they saved Pakistan from bankruptcy in 2013. Addressing the post-budget press conference on Saturday, he said that they presented the budget keeping in view the available resources. He said that special attention had been paid to the agriculture sector. The minister said that the price of live chicken would not be more than Rs 150 per kg. “We surrendered everything on a phone a call after 9/11,” he said. He said that exports decreased due to a fall in the prices in the international market. Ishaq Dar said that they had abolished the FBR’s discretionary SROs completely. He said that the development budget of the Federation and provinces would be Rs 1675 billion. He said that the tax ratio had reached 15 percent in 2016. The minister once again invited the opposition to the Charter of Economy. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Azb was in the last phase. “A net increase in the salaries of government employees is 13 percent. The agri loans have been increased to 100 billion,” he maintained.
