We want to take Pakistan-Belarus ties to new heights, says Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
MINSK – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that they want to take Pakistan-Belarus bilateral ties to new heights, reported 92 News.
Addressing a joint news conference with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk on Monday after holding delegation level talks with him, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said working together will unlock the vast potential of mutually beneficial cooperation.
“We discussed our bilateral relations in all spheres, especially trade, industry, agriculture, investment, education, culture, and tourism. We have agreed to several new initiatives which will further enhance our existing ties,” he said.
Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said that both the countries have agreed to increase bilateral cooperation in agriculture, industry and pharmaceutical sectors. “It has also been agreed to increase cooperation in fighting terrorism, extremism and smuggling.”
Earlier, the two countries signed 14 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) of cooperation in various fields.
