We will head towards Pakistan of Quaid, not Naya Pakistan: PM Shehbaz Sharif

MURREE (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that they will head towards Pakistan of the Quaid, not Naya Pakistan, and more difficulties will come.

Addressing a meeting of the National Highway Authority (NHA) on Thursday, he said that the former government had woven a web for the next government by violating the agreement signed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He said that the former rulers emptied the national exchequer by giving the subsidy of billions of rupees as well as gave a free hand to the mafias. "It is not the time to raise a hue and cry, but to support the country," he maintained.

PM Shehbaz Sharif said that the government restored the economy by difficult decisions. "The matter with the IMF has been settled. Saudi Arabia and China would have been thinking for how long Pakistan would continue to approach us," he opined.

He said that roads were destroyed during the last three years. "We have to complete these projects. Encroachments are rampant along the roads. No one bothered about the country. Was this Naya Pakistan?" he observed.

During the meeting, the NHA officers briefed the prime minister.

The prime minister directed the NHA chairman to fire the services of a consultant and a Chinese company.
