Weapons-laden vehicle seized, two accused arrested in Chiniot

CHINIOT (92 News) – Police have on Friday seized a weapons-laden vehicle and arrested two accused during a raid in Chiniot’s Sargodha Road. As per details, Police recovered seven AK-47 rifles, 47 SMGs, 18 automatic Kalashnikovs, 73 automatic pistols and more than 22,000 bullets from the vehicle. The arrested accused was a suspended police constable. District Police Officer (DPO) Mustansar Feroz said that the recovered weapons had to be supplied to Sahiwal from Dara Adam Khel. The arrested accused was identified as Shafiq Khalid, resident of Haripur. Security agencies are looking into the matter and further investigations are underway.
