Weather turns frosty as parts of country receive rain

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD/PESHAWAR (92 News) – Intermittent rain on Monday lashed different parts of the country including Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, which has turned the weather cold. The weather turned frosty after the incessant rain of winter season was continuing in different parts of the country. Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Bahawalpur and others areas received drizzle on Monday. According to Met Office, Snowfall likely to occur on the mountainous areas including Swat, Skardu, Murree, while heavy rainfall is also expected in various parts of the country. A three-day fresh rain spell with snowfall over the hills is expected in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan from Monday (today). Met office says rain with thunderstorm is also likely in North-East Balochistan and Sindh Monday. Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in most parts of Balochistan and Sindh including Karachi during this week.
