Weather turns pleasant after rain in Karachi, adjoining areas

KARACHI (92 News) – Heat-strickenģ residents of Karachi received a respite from the sweltering heat as the rain turned the weather pleasant on Friday.

According to the details, the rain lashed the areas, including Quaidabad, Landi, Korangi, Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Azizabad and Orangi Town. Roads turned into ponds.

With the start of the rain, the power supply was suspended in most parts of the city. Many of K-Electric's feeders tripped. Electricity was cut off in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Shah Faisal Colony. The power supply was also suspended in Surjani Town, New Karachi, Gulshan-e-Mama'ar. Electricity has been restored in some areas of the city, but many areas are still without electricity.
