LAHORE (92 News) – At least five people including two children were killed while several others injured as heavy rain lashed parts of the country including the federal capital on Wednesday. Heavy rain lashed several cities and surrounding areas resulting in roof, wall collapse incidents besides flooding several low lying areas. Five people including two children were killed and several others injured in rain related incidents and the water entered several houses wetting the households. Heavy rain lashed different parts of the country, including Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sialkot, Multan, Gujranwala and other parts of Punjab that left the roads flooded and most localities without electricity. Widespread rain-thundershower with isolated heavy falls occurred in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala divisions and Kashmir while scattered rain thundershower occurred in Malakand and Hazara divisions. Rain-thunderstorm with isolated heavy fall accompanied by windstorm is expected at a number of places in Islamabad, upper Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Wednesday. Rain is also expected at isolated places in south Punjab, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Zhob, Kalat and Mirpurkhas divisions. Light rain and drizzle is expected along Sindh-Makran coast.
