Wheat support price being fixed at Rs 1,800 per maund: Aleem Khan

LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Senior Minister Aleem Khan has said that the wheat support price is being fixed at Rs 1,800 per maund from Rs 1,650 per maund.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that the credit of increasing the wheat price goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan. "It is vision of Imran Khan to get the maximum rate for farmers," he added.

He said that consultations have been done for the increase with all stakeholders. "Prime Minister Imran Khan had approved the increase in the wheat price," he added.

The minister said that the Food Department will form a concerted policy in collaboration with flour mills. "We will ensure availability of flour and wheat at all costs. The prosperous farmer and the best policy for consumers is the top priority of the government," he maintained.
