Who authorized govt to hold Senate elections through show of hands? PDM chairman

BAHAWALPUR (92 News) – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chairman Maulana Fazalur Rehman has said that the decision on the resignations had been made and all opposition parties are on the same page.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, he questioned why the government wants to hold the Senate elections early if it was not worried. "Who authorized the government to hold the Senate elections through the show of hands in violation of the constitution?" he questioned.

The PDM chairman said that the Supreme Court had not authority to change the constitution. "The entire cabinet is ignorant. The incompetent rulers cannot defend the country," he added.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman said that the people want to get rid of the government. "Price-hike has destroyed the country. Schools are open across the world, but they are closed here. Education has been ruined," he said.
