ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has remarked that the Orange Line project is a gift for Lahorites. While hearing the Orange Line case, he said: “Inform me on the completion of the train and I will also get on it.” The CJP directed the government to complete the project on time and there will be no lenience in this regard. The construction companies presented an Rs one billion agreement of the bank guarantee to court.

Railway Deficit Case

Hearing the railway deficit case, the CJP questioned why Khawaja Sahib comes to court when they do not call him. He remarked that they had sought a reply from the Auditor General and he should inform him on the next hearing. The court adjourned the case till Saturday. Meanwhile, the NAB officials had brought PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique to court. After the hearing, Kh Saad Rafique said that the government wants to make the opposition flee instead of running the government. “Politicians will have to come to real issues,” he said. He said that those criticizing the government are sent behind the bars. “We are branded as traitor when we talk about democracy. We are ready to pay the price for it,” he said. TV Channels Barred From Airing Indian Content

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has barred TV channels from airing the Indian content. “We will peruse the matter when the case against cinema houses will be put up,” he remarked. The CJP remarked that the India channels are destroying the culture. He also reprimanded the counsel for the private showbiz channels. Later, the case was adjourned till the first week of February.
