LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has said that why the stoves of the people were extinguished if enmity was towards him.

Addressing the nation on Thursday, he said that free medical treatment was provided in his tenure, but now hospitals have no medicines. "I had said goodbye to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Why has Pakistan been pushed to the darkness and economic destruction? Why was investment stopped? Why was the rupee badly devalued? Why were the doors of jobs shut for the youth? Why has Pakistan again been made hub of terrorism?" he maintained.

The former prime minister claimed that he does not deceive the people by false promises and says only what he does. "The people will definitely announce the verdict about the prosperous Pakistan on February 8," he added.

Nawaz Sharif said that the cases against him were fake and the court had acquitted him. "Allah Almighty vindicated me from the false and baseless cases. It will take too much time if I narrate the organized conspiracy against me. Gems were selected for the JIT on WhatsApp. All the character behind the shameful game against me have been exposed. I was termed 'Sicilian mafia' and 'godfather'. I served a long time in jail and faced a character assassination campaign. At last innocence has been proved. People are testifying from where he never thought," he declared.

He said that he would be pleased when the nation will get rid of inflation.
