Widow commits suicide over removal of electricity meter for not paying Rs 60,000 bill

FAISALABAD (92 News) – A widow committed suicide after her electricity supply was disconnected for not paying the bill. Fauzia Bibi, a widow and mother of four children, lived in a small house and the Fesco served her a bill of Rs 60,000. She repeatedly visited the Fesco office, but no one listened to her. The Fesco officials disconnected her connection for not paying the Rs 60,000 bill. Disappointed by the Fesco officials’ act, Fauzia Bibi ended her life by swallowing poisonous pills.
