Will dissolve assembly within 48 hours if no-trust is returned: Sibtain Khan

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan has said that they will dissolve the Punjab Assembly within 48 hours if the no-confidence motion or trust vote advice is returned.

Talking to the media on Thursday, he said that the assembly can only be dissolved only after the no-confidence motion or vote of confidence.

"I have answered to the governor's letter. Chaudhry Shujaat has no link with the Punjab government. We are writing another letter. There should be no clash," he maintained.

The Punjab Assembly speaker said that the voting on the no-confidence motion can be held in the first week of January. "The governor's letter has no legal status," he added.
