ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the government will not leave Karachi alone in this difficult time. In a telephonic conversation with Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Thursday, he expressed his concern over devastation caused by recent rains across the province. He directed the governor to further expedite the relief activities. He said that he was aware of the conditions of the city. "Arrangements should be made immediately to shift the affected people to safer places," he added. Prime Minister Imran Khan directed all members of the parliament to remain present in their constituencies. Talking to 92 News, Governor Imran Ismail said that the rescue process had been expedited in Karachi. "We are providing meal to the affected families as well as the city system is being rectified. The 50-year-old devastation cannot be rectified in 50 days," he added. He declared Karachi a calamity-hit area.
