Woman attempts suicide against police ‘attitude’, 3 cops suspended

MUZAFFARGARH (92 News) – A woman attempted suicide in protest against the attitude of the police on Tuesday. Shahnaz had a dispute with his uncle and the police arrested her husband Abdur Rashid. The Khangarh police detained Abdur Rashid in the lock-up instead of registering a case against his wife’s uncle. The woman, in protest, sprinkled kerosene oil and set herself ablaze. She was seriously injured and shifted to DHQ Hospital. The Muzaffargarh DPO took notice of the incident when 92 News aired the news and suspended Khangarh SHO Ramazan Shahid, ASI Khizar Shah and Moharrar Zahir Magsi.
