65-year-old woman dies of coronavirus in Rahim Yar Khan

RAHIMYAR KHAN (92 News) – A 65-year-old woman died of coronavirus in an isolation ward at Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan on Saturday. It is the second death due to coronavirus during the last 24 hours. The affected woman has been buried. The woman was shifted to the isolation ward a few days back. She had recently returned from Saudi Arabia. Her relatives alleged that they have been informed about her positive report after her death. They said that her samples were sent to Multan thrice, but expired due to a long distance. On the other hand, five doctors have been shifted to the isolation ward on the suspicion of contracting coronavirus. Meanwhile, Punjab is leading the tally with 490 cases, while there are 457 patients in Sindh, 180 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 133 in Balochistan, 107 in Gilgit Baltistan, 39 in Islamabad and two in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. As many as 25 patients have recovered. Five deaths have so far been reported in Punjab. Keeping in view the rise in patients, the Punjab government has increased preventive measures. It has been decided to open the daily-use item shops till 8pm. Only medical stores will remain open round-the-clock. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that the decision will be implanted from today. He said that the ban on public transport will remain effective, while the ban on transportation of eatables has been lifted.
