Woman gives birth to baby along road, now in Kot Addu

KOT ADDU (92 News) – Another woman gave birth to a baby along a road in Kot Addu, Muzafafrgarh on Friday. However, the newborn died for lack of oxygen. The woman was being shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital due to unavailability of hospital in Dari Dholay Wala area. The birth of the fourth baby outside hospital in two weeks exposes Punjab government’s tall claims about provision of healthcare facilities in the province. Earlier, babies were born on roads in Raiwind, outside Ganga Ram Hospital and Gujranwala.
