Woman gives birth to baby in toilet in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH (92 News) – A woman gave birth to a baby in a toilet of People’s Medical College on Friday. However, the newborn died a few moments later. The woman was brought to hospital for delivery. Instead of paying attention to her immediately, doctors asked her to wait. After waiting for long time, she went to the toilet where she gave birth to the baby. On her hue and cry, people broke open the door and found the dead newborn stuck in the commode. Her family strongly protested against the apathy of the doctors. When contacted, the hospital management did not respond. Earlier, babies were born outside hospitals in Raiwind, Ganga Ram Hospital and Faisalabad due to lack of attention. Several newborns have died due to unavailability of medical facilities and a delay in the shifting the women to labour rooms.
