Woman injured in Indian unprovoked firing in Hajipir & Sankh sectors

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – A woman was seriously injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing in Hajipir and Sankh sectors along the Line of Control (LOC) on Friday night. According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the Indian Army troops initiated unprovoked fire in Hajipir and Sankh sectors, deliberately targeting civilian population. Due to indiscriminate fire of automatics, rockets, heavy mortars and artillery, an innocent woman in Khwaja Bandi village sustained serious injuries. The Injured was evacuated to nearby health facility and being provided with medical care. The Pak Army also responded effectively and silenced the Indian artillery. On April 27, a woman was martyred and an eight-year-old girl injured when Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations (CVFs) in Jandrot and Khuiratta sectors along the Line of Control (LoC). As a result, Yasmeen was martyred while the girl sustained injuries who was evacuated and being provided medical care. On April 11, four citizens, including a 15-year-old girl, were injured in Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs) in Sharda, Dhudnial and Shahkot sectors along the Line of Control (LoC). Owing to to Indian Army’s indiscriminate fire of heavy weapons at Bessan Wali and Chhari villages, four innocent civilians sustained serious injuries. The injured have been shifted to hospital. The Pakistan Army troops responded effectively with matching calibre and targeted those Indian Army posts which initiated fire. In 2020, Indian Army committed 710 ceasefire violations and as a result, three citizens embraced martyrdom while 44 sustained injuries.
