ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A woman was killed and two others injured during unprovoked firing by Indian army in the Nakyal Sector of the Line of Control (LOC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan Army effectively responded to the Indian firing. The Indian army targeted a village with the use of “small arms and mortars” and, as a result, a woman was martyred, while two other persons were left wounded. On the other hand, Pakistan strongly condemned India's deliberate targeting of innocent civilians. Foreign Office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said such belligerent acts by India pose grave threat to regional peace and security. He expressed solidarity with two families of bereaved and those injured. The spokesperson said that such acts of belligerence, belie India's own statements and violate UN Charter and relevant human rights and humanitarian laws.
