Woman’s body kept in freezer by son, daughter found after 12 years

KARACHI (92 News) – The body of a woman kept in a freezer by her son and daughter was found in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area on Thursday. SSP East Tanvir Alam Odho told 92 News that the son and daughter of Zakia had kept her body in the freezer on her death instead of burying her. He said that the body had become just a skeleton. The SSP East said that their maternal uncle Mahboob looked after the body after the death of her children. “On Wednesday night, Mahboob threw the body near a skip,” he said. The police have arrested Mahboob and started investigations. They said that the flat remained vacant for some time after the death of Zakia. Religious scholar Mufti Farooqul Qadri said that it was not love for mother, but sheer ignorance.
