ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the government and institutions are agreed that no militia will not be allowed to take the people hostage. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, she said that there can be no reaction till a reaction. “Decisions are made keeping in view conditions. Protest is the right of each citizen, but the state has the right to pick up batons,” she said. The minister warned that stern action will be taken against anyone violating the law. “Taking strict notice of rising inflation, the prime minister has directed the authorities to take steps to bring down the price of flour,” she said. She said that the prime minister had directed strict action against profiteers and hoarders. Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said the price of flour increased in Sindh as the provincial government did not purchase wheat on time. “The PM has directed to release 100,000 tons of wheat immediately for Sindh.” She said that the federal and provincial governments will work together to devise a strategy regarding the Auqaf properties.
