World acknowledges Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir: PM

SAUDI ARABIA (Web Desk) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan said that Kashmir has become a global issue and the world has acknowledged Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir issue. Speaking to Pakistani diaspora from different walks of life in Saudi Arabia, he said the purpose of his visit is to apprise Saudi leadership about the grave situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK). “Our brothers in Kashmir are observing tough times and we have to highlight the Kashmir issue internationally,” the prime minister categorically stated. “The PTI government inherited a debt ridden economy and now efforts are being made to reform every sector and enhancing investment in tWe country,” he added. “We are bringing legal reforms to protect investments of the overseas Pakistanis,” PM Khan said. He further said government is also ensuring ease of doing business to attract investors. Earlier, PM Imran Khan called on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. They discussed matters of mutual interest and bilateral relations. The prime minister apprised the Saudi crown prince of latest situation in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K). The prime minister condemned the attacks on Saudi oil installations. Prime Minister also met Pakistani personalities living in Saudi Arabia. He said that he wanted to apprise Saudi leadership of the situation in Occupied Kashmir before attending the United Nation. “The world has accepted our narrative and Kashmir has become an international issue,” he said. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Zulfikar Bukhari, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and Pakistan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia also accompanied him. Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan also held a meeting with Makkah Governor Kahlid Al-Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz. Adviser to PM on Finance Abdul Hafeez Shaikh was also present in the meeting. They discussed the matter of bilateral relations. The Makkah governor said that the Pak-Saudi relations are established on strong foundations. Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan reached Jeddah on a two-day visit.
