World Diabetes Day being observed today

LAHORE (92 News) – World Diabetes Day is being observed on Thursday. It aims to create awareness for ensuring protection from this disease. The theme for this year is Family and Diabetes. This year’s theme “The Family and Diabetes” aims to encourage families to learn more about the warning signs of diabetes and play a vital role in spreading awareness of the disease. Various activities were planned across the country to raise awareness of the impact that diabetes has on the family and support network of those affected. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that measures for prevention and control on diabetes disease are among government's top priorities. In a message on World Diabetes Day, he said that public awareness on regular basis is necessary for ensuring protection from this disease. He said that prevention is of great importance regarding this disease and public should take precautionary measures for their protection.
