ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the world is in grip of inflation, while Pakistan is the cheapest country to live in.
Addressing a ceremony in Peshawar on Wednesday, he said that the government wants to make Pakistan a welfare state.
"The meaning of the Islamic welfare state is the State of Madina. We want to make Pakistan a welfare state instead of making the country 'Asian Tiger' and Lahore as 'Paris'," he maintained.
He said that the people are in trouble due to inflation and they had started the Ehsas Programme due to inflation. "A difficult time is ahead due to winters. Prices will reduce after the winters. A half of the tax amount is spent on paying the loan and interest," he added.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Governor Shah Farman also held a meeting with the prime minister.
