World peace could be jeopardized on issue of Occupied Kashmir: Afridi

Addressing International Kashmir Conference on Tuesday, the minister said that Pakistan will never compromise on its stance regarding Kashmir dispute.

"It is unfortunate for Pakistan that the world community including champions of human rights organization are silent on atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir," Shehryar Afridi said. He also said the Indian forces are committing war crimes in the occupied valley.

The minister urged the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its promise made with Kashmiri people to conduct transparent referendum in the valley allowing them to decide their future.

He said Kashmir dispute is not a bilateral matter between India and Pakistan but is an internationally recognized issue. He said Pakistan will continue its moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri brethren till they get their just right to self-determination.
