World Tourism Day being observed today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – World Tourism Day is being observed on Wednesday. Theme for the day this year is "Sustainable Tourism - a Tool for Development". A daylong colorful festival and musical show are being held to mark the day. Different organizations are showcasing various tourism-related products and activities from morning. In his message on this occasion, President Mamnoon Hussain has said that federal and provincial governments are taking effective measures for the development of tourist sites to promote tourism in the country. He said tourism also helps in promoting soft image of a country at international level. In his message, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said all available resources are being utilized to make tourism sector an active part of the national economy.
