Yasmin Rashid submits petition to ECP over unverified votes

LAHORE (92 News) – PTI candidate Yasmin Rashid, who lost the NA-120 by-poll, has submitted a petition to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), saying that the official results should not be announced without verifying 29,000 votes. Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that she would move court if the ECP did not work independently. “I am talking about the principle and fighting for principles,” she said. Yasmin Rashid said that the ministers gave money to the people and promised jobs to the people. “Was it not pre-poll rigging?” she questioned. She said that notices were issued to the ministers and advisers, but no action was taken against them. “My opponents used the state machinery and gave tenders for development on August 4,” she added.
