Yaum-e-Ashur observed with religious reverence across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Yaum-e-Ashur was observed with religious reverence to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions for Islam across the country on Wednesday.

Mourning processions were taken out in all cities. In Karachi, the main procession started from Nishtar Park and concluded at Imam Bargah-e-Hussainia Iranian.

In Lahore, the main process started from Nisar Haveli and concluded at Imam Bargah Karbala Gamay Shah after passing through a traditional route.

Moreover, big and small processions were taken out in Quetta, Peshawar, Faisalabad and all cities across the country. After the conclusion of the mourning processions, Majalis were held. ‘Sabeels’ and ‘langar’ arrangements had been made along the routes of the mourning processions as well as at several points.

Police had made stringent security arrangements to deal with any untoward incident.
