'You will not get NRO', Maryam Nawaz tells PM Imran Khan

GILGIT (92 News) - Replying to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz told Imran Khan, "You will not get National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO)."

Addressing a public gathering in Skardu, the PML-N vice president criticized the incumbent government and Imran Khan. "Selected now Nawaz Sharif and PML-N will not give you NRO. Earlier you were selected but now you are rejected," she said.

"I want the people here to get autonomy and the governor of Gilgit-Baltistan should not be imposed from outside. Orbital came and had showed a false dream to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. Only her party could give provincial status to Gilgit-Baltistan," Maryam Nawaz said.

She further urged the people not to vote for “turncoats” in the elections in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). She again urged the party workers to siege the turncoats and asked the youth to stand up for their rights. “How can those who can’t stand up to pressure and stand for their rights do the same for you,” she added.

Maryam Nawaz has been campaigning in Gilgit-Baltistan for the provincial assembly elections on November 15. This will be the region’s third election since it was given the power to rule itself in 2009 through its assembly.
