Youm-e-Ali (RA) being observed amid tight security across country

LAHORE (92 News) - Youm-e-Ali (RA), the of martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA) was observed on Thursday amid tight security in different several parts of the the country including Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan. A mourning procession emerged from Mobarak Haveli in Lahore and concluded at Kerbala Gamay Shah. Participants of the procession offered Zuhr prayers at Chowk Rang Mahal. As per officials sources, special security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident. "The mourning processions will follow the planned routes and gather at the pre-decided venues," officials said. For security measures, the procession routes have been divided into 12 sectors and eight entry points have been made where thirty three walkthrough gates have been installed. The processions are being monitored by helicopters. Also, snipers and personnel in plain uniforms are watching the procession closely.
